How long does the custom home design process take?
The timeline can vary depending on the size, complexity, and level of detail involved in your project. On average, a custom home design may take anywhere from a few months to closer to a year. We believe good design takes time, and we work closely with you throughout the process to ensure every detail is thoughtfully considered and refined.

Yes. All of our design work is done in 3D using advanced technology, giving you a clear and detailed view of your future home. You'll be able to explore both the interior and exterior of the design — and in most cases, even see how your home fits within the natural context of your site — before construction ever begins. 

 

Do you work with out-of-town or remote clients?
Yes. With today's technology, we can collaborate easily with clients located outside our immediate area through video meetings, digital presentations, and online design reviews.

 

What is Passive House?
Passive House is a rigorous building standard that focuses on maximizing energy efficiency, comfort, and indoor air quality. It involves a highly precise approach to building design, including high-performance insulation, airtight construction, and superior windows. These elements work together to minimize the need for heating and cooling while ensuring a consistent, comfortable indoor environment throughout the year. Passive House homes are also equipped with balanced ventilation systems that provide fresh air and maintain optimal indoor air quality while minimizing energy losses. While not every project we work on is built to Passive House standards, this design philosophy shapes the high level of precision, attention to detail, and commitment to quality that we apply to every home we design.

 

Do you only design Passive House projects?
No. While we are highly skilled in Passive House design principles, not every project we take on is a Passive House. Our expertise in high-performance building practices sets the quality standard for all of our work, whether your project aims for certification or simply benefits from smart, efficient, and well-considered design strategies. 

 

Do you take on remodeling projects?
While our primary focus is on custom home design, we occasionally take on select remodeling projects depending on scope and goals. Feel free to reach out to discuss your project.

Can you work with my builder or contractor?
Absolutely. While our focus is on design, we regularly collaborate with builders and contractors to help bring your project to life smoothly. We provide detailed plans and clear communication to ensure your builder understands the full design intent, helping to maintain the integrity of the vision throughout construction.
